A blocking ridge of high pressure will serve up lots of lovely sun and unusually warm temperatures for this final weekend of astronomical summer! A weak cold front will push down on the ridge on Sunday; it will go through as a dry system. That front will stall across the northern regions and keep clouds and a few showers in the forecast on Monday. By the end of the day Tuesday, remnants of Florence will move into the province. We can expect a good steady rain and lots of wind. Ahead of the tropical moisture, a SE wind will gust to 60 km/h; behind it, the wind will turn to the north and gust to 60 km/h. The end of the week will be cooler!
